Digital Eighteenth Century

The Digital Eighteenth Century, ENGL 398 (Spring 2014) was an independent study taught by Professor of English Dermot Ryan and Digital Scholarship Librarian Melanie Hubbard and was conducted by Allison Croley. The course involved the exploration of what digital humanities is and how it may be applied to Eighteenth century literary studies.  Allison’s work led to her paper, The Digital Charlotte Smith, which won honorable mention in LMU’s 2014 Undergraduate Library Research Award. The course also led to the creation of British Literature 1660-1800: Digital Eighteenth Century, ENGL 521.
